That game was terribly Stanc-ky. I fear this USA game is going to be a pool buster. They'll look to crush Latvia after their victory over Canada, and Latvia is going to to be emotionally spent.

I also said this will be a blowout. USA will likely have more goals than Latvia will have shots.

Then again Latvia goalie is pretty good. So we will see

It’s been a weird tourney so far! Things could definitely change if Canada comes out fired up and scores 10+. I have a feeling Dickinson is going to replace Bonk on the top powerplay.

On an Oilers note, I actually thought Akey looked pretty good last game and he might get some regular minutes with Schaefer out.

Feels like today is going to be the day a few people break away from the pack, with all of the big 4 nations playing and a potential point night game coming for Canada. I’m really glad Rehkopf is finally getting into the party today, with Schaefer out I need all hands on deck.

It was a great game, been channel surfing today between NFL, Oilers and USA Fins. But watched the US and Fins the most. Loads of chances and the Fins goalie had to make some grade A stops.

I dont get why Beau Akey isnt getting any minutes. To my eye, he hasn't had a bad shift. He may not be the offensive X factor that we're missing right now, but nobody else is getting the job done. Why did this staff select him if they dont wanna play him? even with injuries hes riding the pine most of the night

I was just coming in here to post the same thing. Every time I see him on the ice he’s making positive plays, but somehow the guy who was healthy scratched the first two game is getting more ice time than he is. Cameron has got to be the worst coach they’ve picked for this team in ages, it’s wild.
