Ballsy move giving up Ritchie if Nelson walks.
What does Chevy do now?
Ballsy move giving up Ritchie even if Nelson extends.

Maybe Cozens will end up in Utah too by tomorrow, Boeser to Minnesota and the Jets can acquire Pius Suter.Brock to Colorado.

Rantanen to Dallas?

The Central just got gross again overnight...
Buffalo wants players not futures, so what do you want to subrtact from the roster that make sense for Buffalo? Only way we give them future is if it is a 3 way deal in a sort of way..Cozens is a better fit for the Jets than Nelson, from what I’m reading. He’s a lot younger, very fast and gritty, and will give that 2nd line some playoff toughness. He’d fit in with Ehlers and Perfetti really well.
Chevy should go after this guy.
Watching Avs and Stars, does Chevy try harder for what's left?
He is not prone to panic, but he might raise his bids for a player or two.
Devils would not trade Bratt alone for that package. Bratt and Hughes are the only 2 in Devils that really produce..What about a deal with NJ?
To Wpg - Mercer, Bratt, Nemec, 2nd Rd pick
To NJ - Ehlers, Perfetti, Heinola, Lambert, 3rd Rd pick
Yeah it's not great news at all, Nelson is seriously going to bolster that Avs top 6, they have Mack, Necas, Nuke and now Nelson, that's a filthy top 6 and have already seen how they can damage us. Yikes.Sigh
Big f***ing sigh
You have a good point there.Buffalo wants players not futures, so what do you want to subrtact from the roster that make sense for Buffalo? Only way we give them future is if it is a 3 way deal in a sort of way..
I guess the question is what's left that can help the team? Every talking head said Nelson was the best fit for the Jets. If ROR wants to stay in Nashville or go somewhere else, if Buffalo doesn't fit as a trade partner for the Jets, or wants to deal at the draft, who's on the table that moves the needle?
Maybe there's a surprise tomorrow, or maybe Chevy watches teams that they are contending with year in year out drop valuable assets and sends his into the playoffs as underdogs. But playing in sync. And with more assets/prospects than them next year.
Me I'd try to target Buffalo for Byram or Mc Leod now.
I was thinking of Cozens and Ferraro, for example. Buffalo is supposed to be a seller but there has been a lot more talk than action there. There must be others around the league. GMs just waiting for the right offer. So maybe Chevy bumps up his offers in an attempt to keep up. I just hope he doesn't go after a poor fit or overpay in the attempt.
Question:
Did adding
2 top 6 forwards to bolster the Jets lineup last year help?
Or it screwed up the chemistry?
Calling both top six guys on a playoff team is a bit of a stretch, I was very vocal with both guys being bad targets well before we got both bc their so slow skaters and soft as butter and neither could drive play. Spilt milk now, not worth debating but I hated both trades especially Monahan dealQuestion:
