Based on the return, Chevy would have had to put Yager on the table to be competitive for Nelson. I'm glad he didn't
Yager would have been equivalent to RitchieWould this have been the equivalent in Jet's terms:
1st
3rd (what's the condition?)
Kylington = Miller
Ritchie = Barron
I’d say Stanley is more of a comparable for Kylington and Ritchie’s Jets comp is YagerWould this have been the equivalent in Jet's terms:

Ughhhhhhh
What's this now?Perhaps an attempt to force Chevy's hand by leaking they are chatting with a potential first round opponent & one that we struggled with a year ago.
Yikes, he's a good 2C but that is a steep price.
I'd do something similar for a 2C with term.
brassard but I don't think there is a statsny out there...Who was the Jets target before
for 2nd line center and some other team grabbed that player.
Out of nowhere Jets scooped up Statsny
Nobody woth 1-2 year term that is not on a trading block?brassard but I don't think there is a statsny out there...

Ritchie>Yager. To beat that offer the ask would have been Yager+WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPY IF CHEVY DEALT A 1st AND YAGER.
SCREW THAT!!!!
Yeah, I just got home & commented late.What's this now?
Edit: Ah, I see what you were saying. Done deal though.

Appleton, Baron, Vilardi & Perfetti are also centres. It may all be their natural positions, but they have teammates better at it than them, so get flipped to wing.Puckpedia lists him as a centre.
Mybad
Well, close. It is not this year's discounted 1st either. It is '26 or '27. Who's choice there?
I first read it as both. So not quite as bad as I thought. But still a helluva price for an aging, declining player.
Chevy rightly held out on that one.
ROR still potentially an option. Maybe.
Our 1st is absolutely in play now for a defenseman with term. Just need it to be the right guy.
There will be some decent bargains, just gotta wait it out til lunch time or so. We can improve 3 bottom of the lineup positions on our roster for half what Colorado paid for Nelson.
