Which is why I think Frederic is going to be an option. Right shot and can play center. Its a good depth move

Frederic would have some appeal for the Jets I would think, but he shoots L.

I'm concerned about his pace. He's a fair bit slower than Lowry.

The more I think about the more I think that the Jets should put a bunch of effort to try to get Nelson. He has a NTC, but he and his wife are from Warroad, Minn so maybe they could persuade him to waive. If so, he makes a lot of sense for the Jets.

I could also see him maybe re-signing if the Jets give him an offer that's high for the market because the Jets can afford that cap approach.

Scott Wheeler? He's a prospect guy and doesn't really do trade rumors, also doesn't have any connection to the Jets. My guess is that the story is either straight up fake news or edited to make it look a certain type of way for sensationalism.

I would be very down with Moving Barlow for a reasonable return.

Yep that's what I think as well for something like a 1st a 2nd/3rd, Barlow and Rashevsky? Something like that. Ideally they get a decent level of retention on Risto. I don't hate it I've been on the Ristolainen bandwagon. Laughton is meh if he gets Kupari off the PK I'll consider that a victory. Chevy probably holds off as long as possible both to ensure that he doesn't have to waive anyone and just incase a true difference maker at C comes available.

There's no way Buffalo accepts that deal. Iafallo is the only part of the trade they would covet.
If Chevy trades for Risto, it will go down as his worst trade of all time and also leave no room for Pionk's return.
I would 100 times rather have Pionk than Risto.

Namestnikov just doesn't get credit. First goal Jets score on Blues was an odd man rush set up by Namestnikov against good players. Strong d-zone play.

First good scoring chance tonight comes from a Vlad shot block setting up another odd man rush. That the players didn't capitalize on. He was all around the net. Driving possession.

I don't know if I want to disrupt that chemistry, it would have to be for a guy who can defend and carry the middle of the ice like Vlad.

There's still the Lowry-Ehlers option too. Lowry just grinds like nobody else. Finishes checks. I feel like Appleton is sucking the offense out of Lowry's line right now. And Nino too.
