If we are trading for a RHD, why don't we pay the price and go after Andersson from Calgary?
That gives us DD to play on the 3rd pairing with Stanley/Heinola/Fleury and really shores up that 3rd pairing. It also makes Miller our 4RHD and that's not bad depth.
Then, I'd pry Cozens out of Buffalo at 1m retained. We might have to give up DD in the Cozens trade.

That is so hilarious. I was trying to work HFBoards while in Canada Life centre and it was not going well. Not sure what the issue was other than the typical end user issues I encounter.

Is it wrong to say we need to acquire a star backup goaltender? Because that's the only thing I see us needing because Comrie isn't that good of a backup. Something along the likes of Cam Talbot. May be out of my mind but John Gibson.

Comrie has been decent but his run support when he's been in net has been absolutely atrocious.

I was wondering if Tristan Jarry would be a dark horse backup. Other than the cap hit, he used to be good. Maybe new team, no pressure, something to prove.

Quite a few goalies just need a new look.

I don't think Stanley would clear waivers, but I don't know how much trade value he has (then again, GMs love big bodied defensemen almost as much as Kevin Sawyer).

It's all or nothing with Hellebuyck. He's the foundation upon which everything else is built. It'd be nice to have an elite backup, but ultimately a luxury. We had an elite backup last year and it didn't help much (Hellebuyck still ended up playing 60 games and we didn't turn to Brossoit in the playoffs when Hellebuyck went in the ditch).

Wouldn't mind Walman.... id want SJS to retain for next year's cap-hit though. he adds offense on the third pair LD that neither of Stanley, Heinola or Fleury have demonstrated this season. if ever down in games, you can bump him up the line-up to be an additional catalyst offensively as well.
