But of a generalization here but I really feel like with where this team is at Chevy needs to take a risk, something not exactly his forte. They kind of did that with Monny last year but as a upcoming UFA that experiment had a pretty limited timeline. With limited tradable assets and a very good but maybe not quite there core I think he's gotta take a home run swing, it may fall flat but I think that's a risk at this point they have to take.

Weegar is a fantastic defender, the problem for the Jets is he does a lot of the same things that Morrissey already does, and to a much lesser extent Pionk. You could run a Snerg Weegar / Morrissey Demelo top 4 that might be pretty dam good. But if Ehlers leaves and you've moved Lambert you don't have a ton of options left in the top 6. Plus I think it would take a lot more than Lambert to get him.

The more and more I think about it I think the obvious guy out is Perfetti if they had Ehlers signed it think it may have happened already.

If Jets didn't want to trade Roslovic for Weegar I can't imagine them wanting to trade Lambert at this stage.
