I would argue yes but depending on who they're replacing. I'm reluctant on Boeser for a lot of reasons, but he is better at something we need (scoring). Rakell would be a massive upgrade on Lowry's line, but the cost would probably prohibit us from being in on other big names. So I'd rather keep shooting for the moon on O and take depth on D

I’d be more than comfortable with Rakell if Nelson isn’t coming to the Jets. Just don’t know how available he actually is. Thought he also played some centre before.

We added a 2C in both 2019 (Kevin Hayes) and 2024 (Sean Monahan) and lost in the 1st round.
Personally I'm more comfortable this year with skipping the 2C trade for a 1st that we often do because we have flamed out in the 1st more often than not.
I'd rather grab 1-2 defencemen that push Stanley at a minimum into the press box.

Yeah, I think we need to understand that if the Jets are to win in the playoffs it will be because our core group leads the way. Adding depth is good but it won't mean much if Scheifele, JoMo, Helle, KC and Co.dont step up.
