If it wasn't for Bobby Hull and the Winnipeg Jets there may not have been NHL teams in Western Canada or Expansion after 1972 in the Western US either...but the biggest contribution may have been the huge influx of European talent(Swedes and Finns)as the Iron Curtain hadn't fallen yet...The Jets of Bobby Hull's era had no less 8-10 European players per year...Andres Hedberg,Ulf Nilsson,LE Sjoberg,D Labraatan...

My most memorable Nick Nickson moment was listening on the radio to his call of Luc Robitaille's 500th goal vs Buffalo in 1999. That was one of the games that was not carried by Fox Sports West, and thus we were denied from getting Bob Miller's call.

The only video highlight of it was from the Buffalo broadcast, from the late Rick Jeanneret.

I really wish they would have let him sit out after the 4 Nations until a couple games left of the season just to heal a little more. They will need him closer to full health for the playoffs and Moverare would have been good enough to play out these couple months.
