Kuz just loves being here. His postgame interview was pretty funny.

Both Russians are characters...which is a sign of Genius or as Italains would say Genio...but the Kings/Blake have to take care of them and not cheap out...Kuz 2 years at 6.5 M per with a promise for a raise at the end and Gavrikov 5 years at 8-9 M with some time on the PP too...he's our best DD-man and is heady that redirect of the pass from Kuz to Kempe for a 1-timer was magic and sticks in my mind

Kings don’t have the defensive prowess outside of Gavrikov to really shut down top talent which has always been how we get absolutely exposed in the playoffs. Good team defense doesn’t mean anything against super stars.

Whenever i see highlights of the Jets the last couple years, they look freaking fantastic and a true cup contender.
Then i see them play the Kings 3 times a year and they look weak while we walk all over them.

Just look at what happened to them last season. They had 110 points in the regular season, and eliminated in 5 games in Round 1.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they got knocked out early again. That team isn't built to win in the playoffs.

Rushed to the AHL, like most other prospects on this team, with lousy results.

Kupari was in the AHL as a teenager, when he could have played another year in Liiga and developed more offensively.
Bjornfot was in the AHL as a teenager, when he could have played another year in the Swedish Elite League.
Turcotte was in the AHL as a teenager, when he could have played another year at Wisconsin and developed more offensively
Grans was in the AHL as a teenager, when he could have played another year in the Swedish Elite League
Byfield was in the AHL as a teenager, when every other top 2 pick the previous decade had been in the NHL (everyone else is wrong and Blake is right)
Kaliyev was in the AHL as a teenager, not really the Kings fault, their hands were tied.

Not a single one of these players has produced a positive ROI from the draft capital used on them, not a single one. But the heavy AHL usage is really working great, I bet if Doughty and Kopitar had played in Manchester the Kings would have won 6 Stanley Cups in the 2010's.

The Wild look like shit too though, while the Blues are the exact opposite.

I am not even sure the Jets can hold on to the division at this point, the reward if the Stars catch them could either be a collapsing Wild team or a red-hot Blues team, but even as well as the Blues have played, if you are Dallas you want to avoid the Avs. The Avs have to desperately be hoping the Stars catch the Jets and they draw the Jets. I think Colorado would beat the Jets in 5, even if the Jets have home ice. The Jets have had one of the strangest seasons in NHL history.

And than to think that 2nd rounder in that trade was used as well to get PLD. As if Vilardi wasnt enough already and here some only talk about Brock ******* Faber who is no gamebreaker like Fiala & Gabe.
