GDT: 2024-25 season game 73 LA kings vs San Jose Sharks @7:00pm 3/30/25

Well, I picked a good game to go to. That was very satisfying. I honestly felt bad for the Sharks goalie getting hung out to dry. I can't believe they left him in the whole game.

I too noticed those fancy seats being completely empty. I was sitting directly across from them. That seems completely unnecessary for the Kings. In other news, $25 for a beer at a Kings game now. Holy jumpin!

That's why we eat a heavy-ish meal before games, then stick with Wetzel Pretzels and a soda after 2nd intermission ha.

Who here has season tix? I would assume from the passion about how the org should be ran and what they 'owe' to you, I would assume there are a lot.

I have season tickets to Michigan football and hockey, does my opinion matter more than someone who doesn't? I couldn't even imagine gate-keeping somebody from a discussion for this reason.

I am a Packers fan but am on a decades long waiting list, does my opinion on the team not matter?

I have two PSL's to Allegient Stadium and flip Raider tickets, does my opinion on that team matter more since I am a ticket holder?

My dads company has a suite at Crypto and hardly anybody uses it for Kings games, if I lived in SoCal and went to almost every game, would my opinion matter more?

This has ZERO to do with discussion of the team, an incredibly stupid take, but par for the course.

Are they cracking an egg in the beer before serving it or what? Ludicrous pricing...

It was a 24 ounce tall can of Coors Light and they brought it to my seat. Unfortunately, they didn't add an egg. I usually bring my own stuff but I didn't feel like drinking whiskey last night and just wanted a beer. I think it was about $40 for the beer and a wetzel's prezel.

Thanks for the feedback.

I mean I can't be a "real fan" according to Axl and Surf because I live in Minnesota.

Nevermind that I flew out to LA specifically for games 3 and 4 of the Finals in 2012, and paid well above market value for tickets necause it might be the only time I see my team in the Finals. I'm a fake fan.

Being a 'fan' has kinda nothing to do with expectations of what the org owes you. I'm the biggest fan on the block, but the org doesn't owe me shit.

Who knows... Probably something about mentality, because skill wise he's a top6 player. Even his slowness isn't actually big problem, and his edge work is close to elite. He has hands, shot, IQ, and still sometimes sucks beyond expectations.
Kuz is not slow...you better have another look he's got great wheels...wondering are you a big critic cause that's all I'm hearing here

No one has ever claimed the organization owes them anything. Can it be run better and should we expect better? I'd say yes and those aren't unreasonable expectations. The team can continue to run however it wants to... and I can continue to laugh and point figures when it losses in the 1st round again.

Lets not act if “we” can suddenly heal Kuzmenko from his mental or whatever issues.

It is true he always starts well, just to dissapear again.
We can only hope its different now if LA signs him.
True

I feel like a semi-cheap 1-2 year deal makes the most sense for both player and team.

I'd also be open to adding a couple more years if the AAV is relatively low (if Kuzmenko wants a little more security but the cap hit is low / easily tradable if things don't work out).

Kuzmenko needs to prove he can consistently perform with a team year to year. If I'm Kuzy, I'm REALLY wanting to stay in LA and I'm VERY motivated to prove I can be successful next year. Kuzmenko could make himself a tonnnnnn of money if he's able to prove he can be a consistent performer.

Someone mentioned 2 years, $4m AAV - sounds pretty damn perfect TBH given how the last couple years have gone. If he continues his success next year, it'll be an amazing contract. If he struggles, it's a contract you can probably trade fairly easily. A 2 year deal would mean he becomes a UFA again as a 31 year old. If he's coming off 2.5 great years, there will be a team that offers him a solid contract. If not, he might be heading back to RUS.

As a fan who is against the current GM/president and how they have run things the past couple years, the only way i can allow ownership to know/feel my opinion is financially -- i.e., NOT go to games. Why would I be giving them all my money? Wouldn't that be highly hypocritical of me?

As a fan, I can support the team non-financially from my couch. If/when things turn around to my liking, then they can start getting my money. Luc especially needs to go. Until then, i'll stay home with my fatter wallet.

I don’t know why anyone buys season tickets. Go to PR1. Great section, up close, and pretty cheap at 120 a pop. Go a couple times a year and you’re good.

The Kings are looking good right now but I don't think anyone watching these games is being honest if they think the Kings don't desperately need a new PP coach and that Newell Brown isn't working. Or that Trevor Lewis belongs anywhere near an NHL roster at this point.

This is pessimistic of me, but I question anyone that looks at a sports team they cheer for and can't acknowledge something, anything that can be improved. It's just not an honest way to see things, imho.
