If you can challenge offsides, why do the linesman make the close calls at all.. they get those wrong plenty of times as well (calling it off when its onside)

Agree .. but he is putting the tools in the toolbox where before there was no toolbox.. just need more of it coming together.. he also has had a very 2 steps fwd, 1 step back development "curve" - which I dont think is over. Lets see if he can keep gaining confidence in his shot which was a comedy show until recently.He plays a well rounded game, the Kings have done a good job developing him into that (thats not a problem for the Kings), he's not Patrice Bergeron, but he's a good defensive player.
But to be an elite center in the NHL he is going to have to produce a lot more offensively over a full season than he has, it's tough to use the words "55 point scorer" and "elite" in the same sentence.
