GDT: 2024-25 season game 49 LA Kings vs Tampa Bay Lightning @4:00pm 1/30/25

This feels like a game where the road team just hangs around and eventually scores late to win/tie the game.

King haven't won in Tampa in like 10 years though. So don't get your hopes up.

Rob Blake will go down as the most destructive GM in the history of this franchise.

But it's more on ownership than it is on anyone else, to let BLuc and their nepo buddies like Emerson and Murray get this far is on whoever it is who oversees the Kings in the AEG empire.

BTW, looks like you know who has been sent on another vacation, who had January 30th on the bingo card? Please come collect your prize at the courtesy desk.

Would have loved to see his defense of what you posted.
Maybe not the most destructive but pretty close

Last night, tried to pick the top corner, went off the goalies shoulder

12 pp in 10 games. The league average is 2.4
Technically………… If you don’t hit the nut, it’s not considered a shot. But will give it to him in this case since he’s struggling. Byfield prove you don’t have to shoot to score and I guess he also proved that when you score doesn’t always count.

They looked tired in the third period last night.

3 games in 4 nights. You'd think they'd want some younger legs in the lineup like Clarke and Helenius instead of grandpa Lewis.
This team isnt run by logic - that has been established for quite some time. Look at the way he used DD yesterday in his first game back. And Lewis blowing chunks left and right last night... No, its run by some AI that was trained on 1990s dead puck hockey.

Its hard to figure it out the lack of scoring
Not really.

They have one first-line player and one second line player, with some occasional scoring mixed in by one of the most enigmatic players in team history, who shows up when he wants to.

Oh and they get almost nothing offensively from the blueline, and the one who does provide some is now being healthy scratched.

It's funny. In the first game against Florida Clarke and Helenius made plays to score the goals to win the game.

The next game against Florida both get scratched. Lewis, who they play over Helenius, commits two penalties, one of which leads to a goal for Florida.
