Dowd has done so for years with the Caps. Roy, though a stay
@Home d-man could do the same. Kings have stunted offense from their players for years(I think they still emphasize too much all 4 forward lines having 2-way centers, when they should have more emphasis on goal scoring wingers). They are still trying to duplicate Sutter hockey, but not being physical, plus the effect is a lot less. They need to move on. Hiller is just a stopgap coach. The players will tune him out in less than 3 years, if they don't win a playoff round this time around.
I wouldn't call it a disaster, as he put up a decent 40 pts. I have seen a lot worse that was more fitting to call it a disaster. PLD trade situation didn't look good from the start. Coaches didn't know how to approach coaching him and the majority of the roster really didn't want to accept him. PLD is a nice person,
but I think he never wanted to be here. Some players handle an uncomfortable team situation better than others. Maybe my perspective is different from others as I'm not a die hard Kings fan as I adopted them as my 2nd team to the Caps. The majority of hate should fall on Blake. I think it's easy to hate PLD because he signifies what has become an ongoing problem with the team in general. They have been a disappointing team for multiple seasons, with what should have been a young and upcoming team winning playoff series.
