3:41, 6 shifts
In the box for the first Philly goal.

No he was not sending a message. Sending a message is punching a player in the face or drilling someone on your next shift. An aggressive face wash is not a message. It is a two minute penalty though.

Gets out of the box, gets puck at redline with time. Whole team goes for a change. He puts the puck off a defender instead of dumping it deep. Now there's a rush in the middle of the change.

Laughton's goal, he was standing at the top of the crease watching Laughton skate by & tap in a rebound. No boxout. No tying up the stick. No contact at all.

This player doesn't matter. They'll end up in the AHL* sooner than later. The problem is the person that keeps giving him 3-5 minutes a game.

JAD usage last year, playing physical only after down in the series, leaving Fiala with Lizotte until 5 min before going down 3:1. I have doubts about Hiller from last year. This Burroughs BS is too much. Hiller isn't an NHL head coach at this point & I see no reason to put up with him learning on the job. Get a real head coach. Det hired Todd so there's money in the coaching budget again

Solid win. Maybe Hiller is playing Burroughs like running while pulling a sled. You got to earn that win while dragging a 200 pound road cone around.

*I'm assuming Burroughs gets sent to the AHL when Doughty is back & Blake doesn't do something dumb like try to sneak Moverare through waivers instead.

Its remarable how people constantly whine about Fiala, even when he is not involved or not mentioned. To the point that it is insufferable.

The latter is the problem.

Its hilarious some feel that is no problem because he is one of the highest paid players and gets the most powerplay time..

The home jerseys are helping the boys at home in the slightest way I bet. Look good feel good.

They've grown on me a lot since actually getting to see them on the ice (versus the lifeless still photos we got over the summer)
They look pretty nice. Can we please have the laker jersey soon

You know what's worse than people whining about Fiala? People whining about people whining about Fiala...

Kings are 5th best in the league as far as points %....and you are calling for the coach's head. Only on HF boards....

Foegele was a great signing for you guys. He was playing extremely well at the end of his Oilers tenure and brings an edge that every team needs. Kopitar is the ageless wonder, Byfield and Turcotte getting it going. Still no Doughty.

While a moderately flawed team, this Kings team feels different.
Agreed on all points, but we still need a true gamebreaker. That's what'll keep us from winning anything meaningful.

Kopi used to be that guy, Kempe is as close as we've got to it, Fiala is too mercurial to be it in the playoffs. We need an explosion from Byfield or a totally out of nowhere level up from someone else to truly be different even if I agree that this team "feels different." Clarke could get there, but even then we still need it up front.

Kempe and Byfield could do it. Kopitar will still get his, while Laferriere and Turcotte appear to be very solid contributors, as Clarke could from the back end.

Foegele is a major upgrade over Arvidsson. I'm not sure if that's exactly who he replaced but he's been a great addition.

I wonder why Jeannot hardly played? I'm gonna bitch about Burroughs one last time, Kaliyev needs to take his spot. What kind of dirt does he have on Blake or Hiller? Must be juicy.

I honestly completely forgot about him. I also didn't realize until last night that Trevor Moore has been missing.

Plus the Kings won 2 Cups largely on the strength of their system, and the work ethic of very good players.

Like said above Byfield, Clarke, Laf, and Turcotte can provide some that gamebreaking skill.
I hope you're both right, but we'll see. I think the most recent example the Kings could point at as a model for this team winning a Cup is the 2019 Blues. I think Kempe ≈ Tarasenko in terms of break-a-game open ability, and after that both teams just rely on being deeper and more determined than more skilled opponents.

If you look at the last 4 champions though, we don't have guys at the level of MacKinnon, Makar, Point, Kucherov, Barkov, Tkachuk, etc. That deficit has stuck out like a sore thumb the past 3 years facing the Oilers.

Anyone that coughs up 2 goals getting Burroughs less than 4 minutes of ice time doesn't have the brains to make adjustments in the playoffs. That's it. Not the only time getting Burroughs his 5 minutes has cost the King's in the last week.

Can I hear your justification for continuing to ice Burroughs? He was on the ice for less than 7% of the game last night & cost the team 2 goals.

He didn't cost the team 2 goals, the fact that you believe that, shows you know f***all about the game itself,

I could care less if Burroughs, sits, plays, gets traded or retires, he's a tweener Dman.....but you have your head up your ass if you think he cost 2 goals last night.

I mean he was LITERALLY on the ice for one goal.....but yea, he cost them two.

I don’t give a shit who they are icing as long as I continue to see this team compete the way they have been. They could put Sol on a line with Kopitar for all I care.

Burroughs is making winning harder in his 5 minutes of ice time.

Hiller's inability to pull his head out of wherever he has it stuck is concerning.

Yup, he was on the ice for only the one goal, because he was in the box for the second goal. If you're in the box when the goal is scored, it's on you.

King's should have been on the PP, but Burroughs sucks at hockey.

Edit: People really need to find a different hill to die on than Burroughs. Good times.

Michkov got fined for that bullshit retaliatory high stick

that's nice at least, put him on notice, was betting the NHL wasn't even watching and didn't want to upset a young star-in-waiting

LOL Jesus Christ....that makes literally...no sense.

So we want our players to respond when something dirty happens, but when they do, it's not a good thing....yea...par for the course for your logic.
