I honestly think there are times people don't consider him to be an "all the tools, no toolbox" type of player because of his talent.

I do think he's too talented to be considered a third line player, but I also think he has a lot of limitations to be counted on regularly.

Its not as though he is a 3rd liner by virtue of the various metrics, its that he only ever really thrives when playing with your traditional "3rd liner" types.

He just isn't much of a player when off of the puck.

Even when he was playing his best hockey as a King, he wasn't very popular around here. This forum has a type of player it really likes and dislikes, and Fiala is certainly not the type of player many here have a soft spot for.
Kind of says a lot about 'this forum' then, huh?

I love Fiala.

I will say Foegle has delivered after a slow start. He’s been a huge part of this run of late with his play all over the ice.
I think Edmundson is quietly becoming a solid pickup and unsung hero as well. Both offseason moves seem to be working out quite well for the team thus far.

The biggest problems with the team still remain such as not having elite goaltending that can bail the team out against an elite offense that will find their chances, not having Doughty or any star power on the blueline, our kids are doing well and progressing but none as fast or as impactful as we all hoped at this point, and our offense is decent but not good enough to guarantee results against an equally staunch defense or gain results on the powerplay. But none of these are the fault of any specific player and the team is gaining more and more chemistry and playing better with one another.

At this point though, this stupid f***ing league and playoff seeding still has us on par with ending up facing Edmonton or something similar again which would very likely yield the same results and bring ire that I have not even yet felt or experienced in my life as a Kings fans towards BLuc and AEG if that were to transpire....

Come on man!
Lewis is a national treasure.

Kempe got the assist on Turcotte's goal. Is this the first time Kempe looked up on the rush & had someone on his line fast enough to stay in the play and be available for a pass?

Edit: Dear Lord, got two legit OCD women decorating a tree. Gunna need some whiskey.

Respect to the Kings. After a disappointing loss against the Devils they came back and won the Rangers.
That is one of Adolf Hiller's greatest strengths as a coach. The Kings are best after a loss.

Except for Colorado the Kings have played VERY well after a loss.

You would rather have Kevin Fiala than Brock Faber because you don't want to admit your beloved GM made one of the worst trades in the NHL in the last decade, so your opinion on the player is way more ridiculous than even his biggest detractors.

One?

'worst trades in the NHL in the decade' -- LOL, holy hell....talk about being dramatic. Is that what it was when it went down? Of course it wasn't, in fact these are your words:

>>Sad to see Faber go but this was win/win for both sides, Faber can join the Wild at the end of this coming season, play where he wants and get paid that 2nd contract sooner and the Kings get a 1st line player. <<

So, I'm confused, you were actually on board with one of the worst trades in the last decade? That's not like you, bud.

Is this supposed to be some kind of gotcha moment again? I've already addressed this numerous times, but as always, talking to you is like explaining nuclear physics to my 11 year old.

That was made at the time of the trade, when the Kings desperately needed offense to try and win in this ridiculous 3-4 year window with old players. We can now evaluate it as one of the worst trades made in the NHL in the last decade based on Faber's play and his likely 2-3 more years of improvement before hitting his peak.

How is it so difficult to understand?

Do you still (as you did last year) say "I wouldn't undo the trade if I could"

Oh, I get it now ... GMs are supposed to have a crystal ball and use it appropriately prior to a trade.

So again, even yourself who is self-proclaimed expert of all that is hockey....YOU GOT IT WRONG TOO, YES?

Me, I still don't have a problem with it, Kings needed a top-6 winger, they got one...Blake addressed an issue. Still love Fiala.

Didn't @All The Kings Men in a recent podcast say he didn't remember Faber at all in last game? Yah, me either.
