This team reminds me a little bit of Nashville last year. Just grinding out wins.

Grinding out wins/points until Doughty gets back - then go after a solid LW or goalie at the TDL and freakin dominate the 2nd half of the season.

With how Anderson and Gavrikov are playing defensively this year - Getting Drew Doughty back is going to be huge. The Kings will have a VERY good defense with Doughty back. Spence has looked much better of late IMO. Moverare is VERY good defensively.

Sort of an underrated forward group too tbh. Kopi still putting up big numbers. Laferriere is a beast. Kempe is nasty. Fiala hopefully starting to turn it around a bit. Same for Moore and Danault. Turcotte is a very good/effective player. Helenius looks solid.

If the goaltending can hold up, things could start to look pretty damn good.

I think this was the kings best game of the year. I like what im seeing but im still not sold on this being a tesm that gets out of the first round. Seeing clarke bounce off those guys when trying to deliver a check, fiala auditoioning for the harlem globbetrotters etc.

Adolf Hiller is starting to impress me as a coach though. He has the guys believing and playing better.
There we too many highs and lows with the koala.
This road trip is going to be very telling

I think hiller is a pretty decent coach who at least will change his plan when things arent going well which is a damn sight better than what we had before. I think hes being pushed by his asst dj smith who head coached the senators to a losing record and definitely wants anothet shot.
Look forward to seeing the boys facing j quick in madison square garden against the rangers

You cant win rounds in the playoffs without good special teams... so agree with your assessment. There's also something interesting, last time DD was out 22-23, the team congealed and played better for whatever reason. Honestly this heater is. hard to explain. Hiller is mixing up the lines every game.. maybe he is onto something new.

Didn’t watch the game as I was out the whole day. Glad to hear that the Kings played a hard fought game. Looking at the stat sheet it seems as Laferriere might be the best player from the young guys. It’s no secret that Blake’s drafting is very questionable to say the least or even down right bad. But I will give the people in charge credit for their college signings. Iafallo was a good player, Lizzo was solid, and now Laferriere is turning out to be a diamond.

Getting ready for this road trip! Gunna drive to the closest "mountain" it's only 500 feet tall. Hopefully there'll be an adequate cliff. Suspect it's more of a hill though.

Great win. Don't know what this team is doing. They give up a lot of shots from scoring areas, but are pretty stingy with the defense most nights. They seem to just be getting by on greasy goals. The chaos is working. Love the frustration on the other teams faces. Dallas was pissed.

We drafted Laf in the 3rd rd out of the USHL so not a college signing, but you're just thinking of when he was a beast at Harvard

Kings dominant at home. Not so much on the road. While the upcoming road trip is indeed long, the travel isn't terrible. We'll essentially be staying in the same city for the first three games. So call me hopeful.
