I always find hockey cultural trivia fascinating, reminds me of how much I learned about the world and history when studying literature. I’ve learned so much about European cultures and languages thru hockey…there’s a Finnish names thread on the main board now as another example.

I thought hockey was a good education until I became a massive soccer fan. Good lord, its a smorgasbord.
