What's causing all these teams to shoot below 20?

Everybody is getting in front of shots and blocking/deflecting them. Less slap shots from from the point instead using wristers to try to get it through for scrambles. In years past only the brave or crazies would dive in front of a shot.

Winnipeg seems like a really good regular season team that will disappoint in the playoffs.

They had essentially the best record in the NHL last year (46 regulation wins) but immediately bowed out in the 1st round 4-games-to-1.
