Solid win. Of course they would, team decisions have been justified again. Hopefully it continues, but what then trip in Anaheim... GKG all the same!

I don't think they play such a dominant game if they didn't get blown the f*** out by the Sharts. Jeannot especially had a strong game, love seeing him stick up for Q after that boarding. That's what we were missing all of last year and I agreed with Fox for once, that's not a bad penalty to take.

They had mentioned on the telecast that hiller was using those lines to emphasize certain guys as F1 on the forecheck and in that light they make more sense and it was certainly noticaeable

that was by far jeannot's best game as a King, he was making his presence felt in every which way

it also got Moore and Danault driving the net harder as well

Fiala was quiet on the unforced error front

Step in the right direction for some guys who have been really fighting it

Vilardi taking & winning face-offs.
If he put that work in with the King's, he'd still be here.
Nothing about the trade made sense. Vilardi was better than PLD at faceoffs at the time of the trade going by career faceoff %. Kupari was even better.

When I first heard the rumor and that MTL was also reported making an offer and the names floated were Vilardi and Iafallo and possibly another player… and it seemed to be gaining traction, I hoped the Canadiens would get him.
I then heard Kupari could be the other. At that point I hoped they had to add Brendan Dillon.

Then, suddenly it goes down and I saw the #2 that was acquired from the yotes. And I think I threw something. That made it so much worse. #37 OA. Close to a first round. So they lost Durzi too. Effffing atrocious. The Jets chose Alfons Freij, who may up being a very good defenseman

The Kings should have told them they were not adding a pick. And let them mull that over. Still wouldn’t do that deal, w/o the pick. Call their bluff if they said another team was offering more.
It’s not like Dubois was Eichel.

I remember Vilardi being understandably salty as f*** when he got traded. Now he most likely gets to have the last laugh playing on a Cup contending team. Blake gave up way too much for Dubois, an embarrassing amount. I always wondered if Vilardi would have been on the chopping block if it weren't for his injury troubles...
