Kings really need a winger for Kopitar/Kempe and move Turcotte back to 4C. I love Sammy, but he needs more time in the AHL.

TBD – Kopitar – Kempe
Foegele – Byfield – Laferriere
Moore – Danault – Fiala
Jeannot – Turcotte – Lewis

I wouldn't mind if they give Kayilev a shot. If they don't play him with Kopitar, at least play him on the 4th line and take Lewis out.

What toolbox? Size and speed? What good is size if you don’t use it? What good is speed if your can’t outthink your feet?
Can’t shoot. Questionable hockey IQ. Can’t win faceoffs. Average passer.
Yeah bro I get it. He does have good tools. Decent hands, good speed, and size. I know its not a lot but even his most basic tool sets are not even put to use.

Yeah man I am hoping he becomes something but I think its clear he is not going to be an important player in his career. If he were going to be, I think we would know by now for sure. But yeah hes been a disappointment to say the least.

I'd trade him and everyone at this point.

Boy oh boy Byfield gets spoonfed a tap in and he whiffs. Truly amazing. Dudes the biggest joke of a 2nd overall pick I’ve ever seen. We got Doughty in the same spot. And we got this zero toolbox dude who has all the tools but toolbox is missing.

Dude that pass was whipped across the crease through a maze of skates.

I get he has been a disappointment but that was no spoon fed tap in.

These bums were a sorry ass sight to see in person. I don’t think they connected with a single pass below the dots in the O zone all night. I go to maybe 10 games a year and I try to get decent seats but next time I think I’ll just drop a car battery on the tip of my dick instead. Holy shit what an awful game but hey at least the popcorn was stale.

f***.

There's always excuses for him it seems. It's not "oh he was able to do it in this instance". Its the fact hes never able to execute on any instance.

I admit he has been disappointing and make no excuse for that overall performance.
2 goals in 20 games is awful. There's no excuse for him. He is supposed to be the torch bearer of the new Kings and this is his performance. A complete joke.

Trade him and rebuild.

Do u think anyone would take him with his current salary? Maybe so based on his pedigree. See we are thinking like what can we do to turn this team around where Bluc are more thinking how can we save face and pretend we are doing a good job. Trading Byfield would be another giant red mark on their tattered resume.

Yes, but I would wait it out.

His lack of production and contract have him at all time low value right now.

Bustfield Bustfield Bustfield!

There, the jinx is broken...

With Byfield, I still see those flashes of excellence in his game. And that's typically what you want to see from a young player before they put it all together.

Obviously, considering his draft position, you'd want him to be further along at this point, but I still believe he'll be an excellent player.

Fiala and Byfield are just so f***ing frustrating to watch right now, especially with their shitty penalty taking. Tonight was just one of those nights where nothing was going to go in, you could sense it. Byfield is really concerning because it looks like he's regressed, and he's supposed to take the reigns after Kopi retires, but I just don't see it. I don't want to think about this team's lineup if they would've kept all the pieces they drafted, its too depressing. Blake has to be one of the worst GM's in the league when it comes to asset management.

You can pretty much see flashes of excellence from most NHL players, what makes them different is when the flashes are put together. He’s clearly not on that path.

I’ll say this again and again, I seriously think Jordan Nolan had all the skill to be a star. Excellent hands, good shot, fast, big, massive hitter, and decent passing ability. His worst attribute, laziness.

Byfield has shown more often than not that he’s a mental midget and it’s safe to draw conclusions about his hockey IQ because the toolbox is MIA way too frequently.

I agree with your post. I would rather see Fiala get traded with his 6.5 million cap hit and get someone else who fits the system

He is in is own. Not a ram guy.

On a side note I have been binge watching Steven seagal movies and he’s legitimately the most awful actor I’ve ever seen yet it’s fun to watch because it’s that bad. The nonstop strip club scene in all of his movies is pretty amazing that it’s a given at this point.

Byfield is forcing the play too much without asserting himself.

Frankly he should just go back to wing at this point.

I'd still take this over having to interact with you know who in the GDT.

It's been pretty apparent for awhile now, but I think they are still clinging to the hope that he can be the player they expected on draft night, if he's a winger that is just never going to be a reality. But the reality of the current situation is that this team is in a win-now mode and they have a gaping hole on 1LW and he best fills it. QB had 20G and 55Pts last season in that role and showed flashes of offensive dominance, the Kings just aren't going to get any of those things from Turcotte. And then when you add in how poorly QB's playing at C it just makes to much sense right now. Switch Byfield and Turcotte and let Turcotte be an excellent 3C and hope like hell that QB gets going again at his best position.
