Clarke really does have a lot of Karlsson in his game, the only thing he doesn't have is the elite skating, but the skill and creativity is on par, and that is a huge compliment, because Karlsson was the best offensive d-man in decades.
People are just going to have to accept the defensive shortcomings that come with all the offensive wizardry, hopefully since it's a Kings player some here will be more accepting and quick to acknowledge the greatness and the unique skillset for a blueliner and not hyper-focus on the negatives to his game.
The biggest hurdle is going to be what happens when DD comes back, especially with the PP time, will the Kings hand him over the reins? They certainly should, Doughty wasn't even close to this skilled, even in his prime.
