Clarke really does have a lot of Karlsson in his game, the only thing he doesn't have is the elite skating, but the skill and creativity is on par, and that is a huge compliment, because Karlsson was the best offensive d-man in decades.

People are just going to have to accept the defensive shortcomings that come with all the offensive wizardry, hopefully since it's a Kings player some here will be more accepting and quick to acknowledge the greatness and the unique skillset for a blueliner and not hyper-focus on the negatives to his game.

The biggest hurdle is going to be what happens when DD comes back, especially with the PP time, will the Kings hand him over the reins? They certainly should, Doughty wasn't even close to this skilled, even in his prime.

I've noticed the last number of games we generally get the puck low in the offensive zone, and as soon as we get pressured we send up to the point. We're not doing that tonight. We're clearly making an effort to keep the puck low in the offensive zone, sending it behind the net, into or through the crease. But we're not just bouncing it up to the defencemen.

They called the reaction, not what they saw. And I don't really mind that, they got it right.
They did call the reaction. But they then assessed a major penalty in order to legally review the play.

If that is the protocol, teams should be able to review dives or phantom calls. All of those instances are called penalties based on the reaction, and not what the ref's saw.

Just filthy, one of those moves that each time you see a replay it's still jaw-dropping.

For far to long the Kings avoided players like this like the plague, even as the game changed to make them even more valuable.

He will be every bit as valuable as defenseman like Power, L. Hughes and Faber. And he adds some excitement to a team that isn't exactly the most exciting roster in the league.

Glad the Doyers finished off so now the crowd noise will sync with whats on the ice

There's a difference between those and a guy getting hit goofy. You HAVE to get the big stuff right.

There really isn't a difference IMO. A 2 minute call can be just as transformative to the outcome of a game as a major. How many times have we seen LA get burned on a bullshit call?
