I don't know if he's going to bust, but putting him on the team next year definitely makes me nervous.

Konecny was a (imo) much better prospect at the same age, and he started in the NHL in his D+2 and was decent for his age but put up 20 points. Frost had a monster D+1 compared to Luchanko's so far, and look how that turned out. Farabee came over in his D+2 and the Flyers "developed" him into a camp dump with negative value.

My point is, better forward prospects than JL have been through here and struggled, despite their better play and pedigree. The team is setting another young player up for failure.

As vigorously in favor of seeing him for his little free period this year as I was, I am just as vigorously opposed to bothering to bring him in again next year. There's no need. He wasn't anything mindblowing in his stint, and his season is nothing special this year. He'd be better off playing more where he isn't overwhelmed right now.

And TK got to play wing, which is easier than center. Plus he played with very good linemates for the most part.

Voracek - 376:25
Couturier - 306:43
Simmonds - 278:31
Schenn - 255:57
Giroux - 97:12

The only good thing about Luchanko being ruined (there isn't anything good, i want to see him thrive) is that they hitched their wagon to him. Not that i expect any real accountability in the organization, but if everyone in the world knew you got it wrong on draft day, except you, its going to eventually lead to an entire omelet on their face, which is par for the course in Flyersdom

I blame him, but honestly. What talent is there here to make a PP work.

No viable point man, no playmakers outside of Michkov, and a bunch of North/south guys.

Moving Frost theoretically hurt the PP. that 4nations is a good indicator. Can’t even get a guy into the lineup. Telling.
