Going forward list of flyers players under 25 years old is Foerster York Drysdale Brink Andrae and Michkov.

Foerster and York are fairly vanilla and far from difference makers. Andrae and Brink have their days numbered as Torts doesn't seem to like them. Drysdale is failure at best.

Really going forward the only real building block for the rebuild is Michkov. Oh and couple unremarkable prospects in Bonk and Luchanko plus picks in a pretty weak draft.

It feels like we need a positivity thread.

Brink is now the clearcut best playmaker on the team so yeah, he's screwed.

Their "plan" has this as a base to upgrade.

(Note they began changing their offense last year to prepare for MM in which they completely misjudged his game. Centers like Luchenko, Poehling or Laughton when a C and wingers like Tippett do not mesh at all)

Foerster - 1C - Michkov
Tippett - Luchenko - TK
Pelletier/Upgrade - Cates - Brink/Upgrade
Couturier - Poehling - Hathaway

York/Upgrade- Sanheim
Andrae/McDonald Bonk
Seeler - Drysdale

Ersson
Zavragin/Bjarnason/other internal

"Big game hunting" that might go yo ufa:

2025 candidates:
Marner, Ehlers, Chychrun, Ekblad, Bennett (lol)

2026 candidates:
Connor, Kaprizov

This draft's 7 picks to somehow turn the above into a contender, trading for an upgrade or to move up to pick a future 1C? Probability of this all falling into place is nearly zero imo.
Rebuttal: "You never know."

The Flyers, and I mean this very literally, are the ONLY team in pro sports who try to galvanize their fambase around guys like Gaucher. Typically, fans themselves write this script in that they find out the story and pull for the underdog when they finally get the call

No other team tries to literally hype these players en route to the pros. It's crazy. Like sure the Chris Coste's of the world deserve their applause, but it's only after they get called up and people realize what the deal is.

It's so f***ing weird dude
