A bad contract today does not get better if the cap increases. It’s still bad.That suggests that the Cap wasn't much of an issue, and they were less interested in dumping Farabee's cap hit than dumping Farabee (i.e. they saw him as a bottom six forward going forward who wasn't a good fit for that role). And that they could have easily paid Frost if they wanted to keep him.
It also means TK, Sanheim and Tippett are bargains.
if you over pay for something and regret doing so, but later find $100 out on the street sure you’re $100 richer but you still overpayed in the first place.
