Well I don't know why Torts would want Fedotov on the 23 man roster. He won't play him and clearly doesn't trust him. So the fact Fedotov hasn't been waived must be because of Briere, who may have made promises to Fedotov about not sending him to Allentown.

They’d have $8M+ in their minor league net with Fedotov & Petersen.

Zamula is out of options and would be claimed on waivers.
So right now they'd want to play him over Andrae, especially if Andrae is struggling.
Like a number of players, they have to decide if he's in their future plans.

Both Ersson and Kolosov flash promise, but they're failing to make one save a game that a veteran goalie would make. And that's why the Flyers have the worst goaltending in the NHL.

At some point they have to decide what to do with Fedotov, and make some trades.
But there is no reason for Briere to rush, the draft isn't until June and he's not looking to make trades to get this team into the playoffs.

Not a difficulty if they had simply traded Seeler when his value was at its career peak, like a rebuilding team would have done.

The core attribute of a "rebuild" in any field of human activity is not changing a thing and staying the same, which always leads to improvement of said unchanged thing

I f***ing hate this organization

TK should have been dealt, not extended
Same goes for Seeler & Hathaway
Laughton should have been moved last season
Couts should have been dealt, not extended.

The utter incompetence, year after year, is breathtaking. This team is light years away from challenging for a Cup. At this point, every player on the roster save for Michkov and maybe Foerster & York should be available for the right return.

I hope they continue to miss the playoffs for 4 or 5 more years, it’s the only way that ownership might realize that a complete and total purge of the hockey ops dept is a necessity.

Not trading TK with two years left on his contract is one of the worst decisions this team has ever made. It would have ensured a top-5 pick along with an absolute haul for TK. It would have kicked a rebuild into overdrive.

I do laugh the Flyers sent out their media PR arm to bash Koloslov before he came back for because he believed he should have gotten a shot in the NHL after they gave a guy with no NHL track record a multi-year deal over $3M.

Fast forward to now the two guys they earmarked their two spots for have been even worse than Koloslov so far. That’s not to say Koloslov has even good himself in an overall sense but he has been better than the other two.

What exactly is Andrea's take away here? That it doesn't matter if you play better than someone on the NHL roster, you're going back to the AHL because the Flyers don't want to hurt the fee fees of one of their little baby veterans?

This is an unserious organization.

Anyone that thinks Torts doesn't have full control is an idiot.

Briere is a joke of a human and is clearly just in this to steal money.

This organization is pathetic and this group appears to be the worst of the worst.
#sameasiteverwas..

Torts is gunna play this Org. like a grand piano

There would have been no "absolute haul" for TK last summer, at most what the Devils gave up for Meier. Late 2023 1st (#26), 2nd (2024), Zetterland and some failed prospects.

It might get them to #5 at best. Buffalo is on a 64 point pace, Habs 71.
Flyers currently on a 80 point pace. That would put them in a tie with StL for 11th, just behind Detroit at #10.

Sequence of events:

Andrae almost certainly is concussed vs Columbus.

Torts scratches him for multiple games. Not only does he state publicly that the scratch has nothing to do with the play vs Columbus, he pumps the brakes on anyone complimenting Andrae's play this season by effectively saying we're collectively getting ahead of ourselves.

York has a bad game, so Andrae comes back into the lineup for York.

They move Sanheim to a pair with Drysdale, meaning he goes back to the left, despite being the only LHD on the roster capable of playing on the right. This means Andrae plays the right side with Zamula... where I don't recall him playing a full game all season.

Andrae has a bad game, once pulling from the right to the left, leaving basically a breakaway for the Kings by overcommitting, and once getting burned in no man's land leading to a goal against.

The Flyers send Andrae to the AHL.

Great job with the confidence of the young guys, team!

I said with two years left, so the previous summer. Teams would have been lined up around the block for such a cheap two years.

No. Because he took a step up the last two years and was more of a sure thing.
TK is a first line forward, but not an elite forward, which is why Meier is a good comparable.

The problem isn't TK's deal, it's Couts' deal, but hopefully he'll age better when they can move him to LW.

I am hoping this is one of those weird cap related things with being sent down and hopefully recalled tomorrow. Andrea was up and down last night with one of them being a bad one with the Andrea, Risto and Frost shitshow that led to the 5th goal. Or was it the 4th.
If this is a demotion based on his game last night then it’s a load of shit again by this incompetent organization

The Frost and Farabee deal will happen as soon as the freeze is over and expect Cozens or Jeanoat type returns.
You have been saying for 3 years Frost is getting traded.
You have to be right eventually right? :sarcasm:
