Might have gotten a season ticket holder boost when Michkov came over but they sure as shit sent going to get a single game boost.Jonesy: we are gonna compete for a playoff spot
Briere: we are moving in the right direction
Torts: the players need to play the right way, my way
Reality: dead last in the NHL on Nov 6th
Looking forward to seeing lots of empty seats when they come back home. The entire hockey ops dept can f*** off. I’m praying for a bottom 3 finish both this year and next because that is the only way that enough heads might roll to actually make some real changes!
They're playing bad, but I doubt they're this bad, they have too much talent to be a bottom feeder, though some of it is mismatched. It's pretty much the same team they finished with last season with some upgrades (Michkov/Atkinson, Risto/Attard) .
"play my way" signed Torts.
no... not until they sell/fold the franchise. The first game I’ve watched in a long time was the home opener, my nephew treated me to the game.
My god that was the single worst game of any sport that I have watched either in person or at home.
Have they been this bad for the past few years? Is there any shining light at the end of the tunnel?
100% correct.... they will say players still arent buying in and ship some more out which will of course make no difference at allBut this is all part of the culture!
I'll be honest, I still think Torts and Briere are lock step and if anything, they will make excuses for the team sucking (yet they are right up against the cap).
Still spinning the they will trade those 2. Consistency. You are they definition of consistency.Of course "they want to compete for a PO spot."
You tell your players they suck and there's no point trying?
But I don't think Briere is that upset with the start, more with the players, and if some don't turn it around they may be ex-Flyers. But being out of the playoffs makes Briere's life easier at the TDL and next summer.
Laughton and Risto have upped their value.
