2. To Hawks: Lafferty To Buffalo: Kurashev Change of scenery deal

Only bad thing I have heard from Nemec is that he wants to be in NHL but can't fit. Meaning that New Jersey is not trying to sell him so his price should be Sky high.

Well, he's not as good as you all think he is. And in a very small sample size, EDM is outperforming him.

Would like to see Nazar still on the top line. But I do think the last game was probably his worst as a Hawk. Shouldn't be enough to get him demoted though, imo.

Don't really get it. Del Mastro > Allan, but Nolan has been good though. Maybe Sorensen expects him to jump up more?

Some merit to spreading out the evaluation time for each of Kaiser, Allan and Del Mastro, with Del Mastro being the latest guy to get an extended look. With these depth D prospects, making the critical evaluation is very important. They really could go any way from their current age, so you want to make sure you're fully informed on who you're keeping around versus who becomes expendable. Hard to do after just a few games.

(yes, obligatory, Brodie is terrible and probably already would have been exiled without the 2nd year)

It may eventually be the case but I don't see how one comes to the conclusion that Del Mastro > Allan after 48 minutes of TOI 5x5 in 3 games for Del Mastro. It's folly to look at the advanced stats in such a small sample size just as it would be to look at giveaways/60 and blocked shots/60.

My Del Mastro > Allan is admittedly some personal bias, because Ethan is one of my favorite prospect, but it's also not based on the NHL games only, but the whole body of work and how I see them ultimately projecting.

in musto's world every prospect he doesn't like should be played in as low a role as possible because they're bad, but also should be traded with six thirds and a fourth for dylan strome as if such a bad player would constitute positive value. puzzling stuff.
