Trade all the vets. Next season is the year for these prospects to start getting NHL time. I don’t want them blocked by Hall, Brodie, Martinez, etc…
The only argument I can see is that he’s still a worthwhile veteran presence on the blue line. He (and Jones) can help shelter some of these kids so it may be worth it to keep him around until next year. The idea that trading Murphy is a difficult decision is absurd
Its been time to move on from him
Donato should not be a hard decision. Career bottom sixer having the best year of his career. Take whatever you can get on and move on. Don't bother re-signing a replaceable player like that and if you get something it's better than nothing.
Murphy, it depends on what's being offered for him. If you're going to retain, I wouldn't just trade him for scraps because he has that extra year and you have to consider how you'll replace the lineup spot.

It really just depends on the return. If we can package Murphy or Murphy + for a 1st then I say go for it. As long as Martinez and Brodie are gone I’m happy.
