2024 25 Rockford Icehogs Season

Excited to see Thompson debut.

Anderson must have got hurt again on Friday. Came back and scored, been out Saturday and Sunday
I've noticed that they don't play Anderson or Athanasiou in the 3rd game of any of the 3 games in 3 days stretches. I wonder if there's something in the union agreement about that for NHL players not on 2 way contracts. (both made it through waivers)

I also noticed that they gave a lot of guys off yesterday like Del Mastro, Allan, and Seney and I wonder if they wanted to give some lower guys one last game as they just clinched the playoffs and they're about to get some reinforcements in Korchinski, Levshunov, and Dach.

Yeah seemed like a big maintenance day, they're locked into the 4/5 play-in round in any event so no need to go all out with 3 games in 3 days.

Marcel Marcel shoulder surgery done for the year.
Guessing no ELC for him? Wonder if he goes back to Europe or looks around for another North American contract. You probably want a bit more offense out of a Forward who turns 22 at the start of next season than 18 points in 67 games across two seasons and never consistently made it off the 4th line.

Wouldn’t mind another Ahl deal
He’s not terrible but not worthy of a elc

Lost the net to Slukynsky (Kings 4th round pick) in March despite playing well in his own right, which I'm sure was a bit tough, bittersweet in his last year as the team went on their magical run. Good luck to him and welcome to org, I'd imagine will start with Indy.

He's from Wilmette and mentions playing for CYA instead of the Mission. Vlasic is same age and also from Wilmette and would have been playing for the Mission at that time, so wouldn't be shocked if they are friends. Rowe also went to the NTDP (same time as Vlasic) and was the other goalie with Spencer Knight on the '01 born team, where he also would have overlapped a year at the program with Drew Commesso (the primary goaltender for the '02 born team).

Do you guys who follow this closer than I do think top players will play for the ice hogs Saturday?

I’m guessing not. Not too familiar with what the goals are in an end of year situation like this in the ahl.

Hard to tell they’ve mixed and matched the last few games.
