2024 25 Rockford Icehogs Season

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

It is not that the Icehogs are getting barrage with shots agaibst...Could be just BAD GOALTENDING for the high scores agaivst ?

Commesso and Weekes have stunk...
It's the quality of shots. Milwaukee had tons of traffic/tips/screens/better rebound position out muscling Hogs defenseman. Admirals looked liked men playing against boys this weekend which is expected as Admirals are a veteran team.

He looks fast. Haven't noticed him agitating at all to be honest.
Fast is fine but being Andrew Shaw part 2 is his ticket to the show ,imo Possibly once he gets some more games under his belt (after Injury) he'll step up the nasty .

I really hope LEV looks solid. Demidov has 5 G 6 A in 18 games in 10mins of ice time per game and all the points are Ev. Compared to Mickov last year had 19 (15EV) 22 A in 47 games with 17mins per game.

Hawks will draft a Forward in the upcoming draft. Onward and forward imo.
we have forwards we need another one that projects as a top line forward. at this point Hagens, Misa frondell, Martone look to be the ones in that Category so top 5 is needed. the russian, Mcqueen, spence seem more like 2nd line players IMO

Should be interesting to see how much leash Levshunov is given . And If he has the green light this could really spark Korchinski to "Paul Coffey" it as well .

manitoba talk radio says the hogs are unstructured, and that this hindered them in the first but helped them in the second. i guess that's one way to pay a compliment.

Saw most of the game today

KK, Nazar, Lev, Edmonton, Savoie, and Slaggert all looked good.

If I hadn't known Lev was an 18yo (turning 19 in two days) playing his first pro game, I would've thought he was probably in his early 20s and playing in his 2nd or 3rd AHL season. Wasn't perfect defensively, but was the best RD.

KK and EDM were both solid in entirely different ways. KK was fast and generated a lot off the back end, EDM was slower but made a lot of good defensive plays, especially near the blue line.

Nazar had some misplays where he should've shot instead of making a pass to a covered teammate off the rush. But he still seemed to generate noticeably more scoring chances than anyone else.

Savoie and Slaggert play fast. Savoie a bit like Shaw, but would've been nice to see a bit more snarl. Slaggert looks identical to what Hagel was like with the Hawks; maybe with a worse shot. Be interesting if he can, with time, translate that level of play up here.

Nazar and Slaggert are money on the PK.

Tons of pressure and speed.
