I agree the PP is stagnant but Beck is the only one moving out there too much rope is being given to certain players who shall remain nameless.
I'm actually confused about Condotta's presence I'm not sure he's filling his role properly.
Beck is now the main puck transporter on the power play. But with Gignac's return, the speed median of the team will be significantly raised. It will be noticeable on the power play entrees where Gignac, Beck and, to a lesser degree, Engstrom, each have that all important ability to effectively transport (skate) the puck into the offensive zone.

Seems Hoefenmayer got a goal in the Spengler cup at least habprospects listed it. Some site google pushes said he was taking Mailloux’s minutes in Laval.

Hoefenmayer with an assist so far today. Canada is tied 2-2 after 2 periods with Straubing Tigers.

He has a goal and an assist so far at the Spengler Cup. Today is their 3rd game.

Canada lost, so he'll be back.

Does ECHL games count as pro games for the AHL veteran limit ?

I'm just thinking if Poolparty clears, the Habs could swing for him, maybe send Pezzetta the other way and have JP in Laval and call him when someone is questionable and elt him enjoy the press box.

Or even RHP at this point in a trade.

I don't think ECHL counts. I think that's why Arseneau is not a vet or something

Only NHL, AHL and major Euro leagues count.

I don't see the need for him. At least Pezz brings physicality when he plays.

We also have enough forwards in the AHL already.

I’m not watching the games but this is encouraging. His points are gonna take a nose dive while he figures this out.

It might take awhile or it could never happen but at least this is at the forefront.

Really hard to say what happens though with his future. I’m sure no one’s in a hurry to get rid of Carrier. But if Engstrom can play on the right side, I don’t know how he can crack our roster. Unless Reinbacher’s injuries are too much. But even then.

Yeah, but they've slowed down.

Let's Pezz play somewhere else and see what he can do and extend his career potentially as JP has this year and then back to Europe for him.

He can play in Laval and when they go on a road trip, call him up and sit him in the press box.

I don't think playing yoyo with Puljujarvi is worth it. It seems like a pretty unnecessary trade with little benefit.

Basically a minor league move.

Hopefully Laval figures it out again, but they are once again sorely lacking offensively.

Then again, i thought Puljujarvi had played more in the A, but only 13 games, so a minor league switch likely still leaves Laval struggling to score

Laval are 3 points from the division lead. There is no rush to make moves.

They are 12th in the league in goals (13th in GA), they are fine.

This isn't last year's Laval.

They were leading the division and a lot of those goals were scored in the first month of games just like last year when they couldn't score to save their lives.

Scoring was not a problem last year either, they finished 5th in scoring.

If Laval "can't score to save their lives", neither can most of the league.

It’s kind of what I was thinking given his step back this year. I was wondering if they told him to focus on his own end. He clearly hasn’t been taking the same chances offensively.
