Oh he is a righty! Interesting
Konyushkov scored a rather pretty goal today:
Game tied at 4-4, none other than Owen Protz with a pair of assists
He’s listed as 6’2 on the OHL website. That can’t be right?Apparently 3 assists and he laid out his opposing number with a huge hit.
he looked like 5'11 to me at most. Built like Cube thoughHe’s listed as 6’2 on the OHL website. That can’t be right?

Good to see him getting the points of late. I know many people were stoked about his camp. Loved the highlights I saw of him. Would be nice to get a bargain bin Romanov.2 assists tonight. 3 assists last game. And he now has 7 pts (all assists) in his last 6 games.

Just watched a highlight vid and yeah maybe not 5'11. I don't know about 6'2 but at least 6 feet. I thought he was much stouter. Guess my memory's off. He’s listed as 6’2 on the OHL website. That can’t be right?

How's his skating? I forget.
oh yeah I'm not expecting much offence wise but Xhekaj's an interesting comp since Arb's has plenty of offensive upside so who knows. His skating is good, but I'm no expert as guys around here might be better at analyzing his skating more technically.
It's always great when our prospects pick up points. But I will reiterate what I said the other day when Protz's offensive numbers were described as disappointing, he wasn't drafted to be an offensive D. Habs selected a defenseman who plays a hard nosed game and is someone who can make life difficult for opponents.
Think Arber Xhekaj. He wasn't known for his offensive game, either. His only productive season in junior was his overage season. He was just a big body with a presence.
His scrum at the rookie camp where he was talking about watching Rock'em Sock'em and looking at someone like Scott Stevens to model his game, it tells you what this kid is really about.
