Harris with 6 goals in 6 games. As a sophomore. Must have seen the light because only 14 in 42 games last year.
@montreal do we have anything in Harris or is this just sophomore taking advantage of a Denver team that inflates point totals of all it's players.
This kid is no flash in the pan. Go back and watch the tapes of the Rookie Challenge . Harris' skating was the equal of any player on the ice: that includes Beck and Hage. When you can skate like that, anything is possible.Harris 9-9-4-13. Leading NCAA in goals scored.
Could be late bloomer
Skating ..... and decent size. He's no Farrell. This kid is no flash in the pan. Go back and watch the tapes of the Rookie Challenge . Harris' skating was the equal of any player on the ice: that includes Beck and Hage. When you can skate like that, anything is possible.

Is that to be read in a Russian accent? ;-)When you can skate like that, anything is possible.

In any language or accent, the team that skates better usually wins. In Harris’ case, it was readily apparent in the rookie camp that he was one of the better, if not the best skaters among the participating Montreal prospects. Harris has the skating to play and play effectively at the NHL level. Is that to be read in a Russian accent? ;-)
Skating is generally listed as one of his biggest weaknesses....he is not any where near Hage or Beck in this conversation.
Agreed. I was at ice level and he was most definitely not the standout as far as skating goes,

What other late round gems have the Habs produced recently?Sam Harris has been impressive. May have another late round gem if he keeps it up.
Rhp played NHL games as a 7th rounder. Primeau. Jake Evans. Definitely not common to have three homegrown 7th rounders on the roster. What other late round gems have the Habs produced recently?

Joshua Roy too. Possibly dobes.
I wouldn't beat the drum early on anyone from 2022-present though with how Farrell turned out.
He leads the 2017 7th round in games played and appears to be the only NHL player coming out of it. Even as a backup that's a gem. Not all gems are rare or extremely valuable. If you tell me that Primeau is a gem... we don't watch the same games.
