In the beginning of the season, I would very happy with only 30-35 points for him.

Marc Denis (RDS): “In the case of Ivan Demidov, are you just letting Roman Rotenberg take care of his development, is there constant communication with SKA, do you know what’s going to happen in the next year because sometimes it’s a bit complicated with young Russian players.”
Kent Hughes: “I can’t tell you if we know at what point (we’ll see him) since he belongs to another team & he’s under contract with them…We’re following (Ivan Demidov) closely & Nick Bobrov is in communication with them…we have to respect that he’s their (SKA) player & (the KHL) is a professional league where they play to win. But we’re following him & there’s a possibility we’ll be going to see him (in Russia ).”
The last bolded part is interesting...
He'll come over next year, our coach's character is a magnet for young players. After all, he would'nt be the first to cross the Atlantic on the Spirit of St._Louis!

SKA playing 4D chess trying to punk Montreal by surrounding Demidov with bad influences. First they sign Kuznetsov, now DeAngelo. Who is next, Kassian? Formenton? Nichushkin?

Under 14 minutes in TOI average… reminds me of Tyler Seguin’s first season under Claude Julien in Boston. A coach just not using his best weapon in the name of learning the game from the bench and becoming a “better player”.

My guess is Demidov’s TOI so far is even less than what he got in the two game this week. I’m sure someone has that somewhere.

Real nice moves on a 1 on 3 but guy went to the net instead of taking the space left back by defenders, so errant pass.
Real nice entry on the PP to get it set up on a high pressured zone entry.
Other than that, not a lot of puck touches for the line, a lot of terrible plays by Kuznetsov and for some reason using him in the bumper on the PP.

Yeah he draws at least one a game lol. He's special, he's getting limited minutes and pretty much always has 2-3 notable things in 4/5 shifts in a period.
Demidov just won rookie of the week honours In the KHl. You know That could only mean one thing…

Demidov gives me Crosby vibes... in terms of character, leadership, and commitment to improving and being one of the best.

You see man, i can fall in love with skill player too!
It helps that he has some f*** you to his game, too. He isn't a soft skilled guy. He's not gonna be mean or nasty but he doesn't mind throwing some checks and playing with some bite.
