Volokin started a 2nd game in a row. And it's the 3rd game in a row he plays in. The third one, he came in relief.

Sochi lost all 3 games. But Volokhin's stats in those 3 games are very encouraging.

Wednesday in relief, he made 15 saves on 16 SOG for a .938 SV%.
Friday, he made 31 saves on 33 SOG for a .939 SV%.
And today, he made 37 saves on 40 SOG for a .925 SV%.

Getting more comfortable at the KHL level. That's awesome.

According to flash score Volokhin did not get the start, but Demidov started on the ice.

It's weird because I'm looking at Flashscore and they have Vololkhin as the starter. But it is indeed Ivanov who started as KHL's official website has Ivanov vs. Zavragin.

Snapshot from my flashscore phone app. It has Volokhin starting. However, it's not the first time Flashscore makes a mistake.

he entered the game in the 2nd period

Not according to KHL website. He played all 60. Looking at Elite Prospects, same thing, which they obviously get their stats from the official sources.

The highlight I posted above of Demidov's assist on the PP had Volokhin in nets. And that goal was in the 1st period.

They had Ivanov as the starter, guess I was more asleep then I thought, so I watched the whole 1st thinking it was Ivanov. I saw Volokhin before the start of the 2nd so I knew he was in th game. I was wondering why they pulled him, thought it might have been an injury and here it was Volokhin making the save (it was 12 mins in the 1st). To be fair though I was up late and I'm at work so doing 2 jobs at one time on little sleep
