Does anyone know if any of the unsigned draft picks are worth a shot to help build a weaker prospects pool ?
Quinn Finley should be ahead of Nurmi and probably Dufour in Seafoam's rankings IMO but otherwise an excellent job!!

A couple of years ago everyone had Bolduc listed very low after a down year and then he bounced back and moved up. I suspect the same thing may be happening now with Dufour. The guy was Memorial Cup MVP and then had a very good first pro season before stepping back this past season.

Pulkkinen is a pick I am super excited for. I am surprised that you do not have Isiah George included in here. What is the reasoning for that?
George has some tools, but not (yet?) the toolbox.
Still seeing too many struggles at the OHL level over the past two seasons. As good as the skating has been, he still hasn't figured out how to use it to get himself out of trouble or to create many advantages for himself and his teammates.
I think Maggio deserves to be in there somewhere. Like Finley, and Jefferies I think he'll be an NHL player if only because he's a dedicated puck hound who has good hands/coordination.
But I think the take-home message about this list is that Dufour and Iskhakov aren't on it.
Unlike recent NYI prospect pools, this contains a whole bunch of forwards who seem likely to see NHL action at various roles, not just boom or (more likely) bust guys. Bednarik is definitely one of those. Of that group (Nelson, Finley, Jefferies, Maggio, Bednarik), I think Bednarik may have the best chance to be more than a bottom 6 forward. Better watch some college hockey, though, because BPT isn't going to be very good.
I'd have put him at 9 on that list.
He had a great second half and had clearly won over the coaching staff, often on the ice when the money was on the line, a situation that showed up in basically every game.
Two young men somewhere in no-man's land right now.
Dufour's sophomore slump isn't entirely unusual. Hopefully he bounces back.
But Iskhakov is what he is and I just don't see a spot for him in this organization. Would be prudent to see if a team out there lacking system skill among its forward group wouldn't want to swap him out for a prospect that we might actually have more use for.
Yes, we could find ourselves down on guys like Bednarik and Veilleux in no time flat.
Hopefully, they'll already take on big roles in college next year and have us just as enthusiastic about them as we are about Nelson and Finley.
College hockey will definitely be interesting.
At this point, looks like BPort is gonna be non-competitive. But there's still time and the Lamoriellos tend to have a lot of bodies there by the time camp opens up.
I think Bednarik is in a very good spot to have a very good 1st year. He plays a college style game already. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays 2nd line minutes right off the bat.

Really like hearing this!
Seems like the type of player who could really benefit from putting in a hopefully dominant USHL season before taking his act to Boston.
After the amount of time he missed last season and how miscast he was in the pro team (too early, too little ice time), it really seems like a year under <gulp> Dale Hunter's tutelage would be as ideal a situation as Nurmi could find himself in.
I'd have to think the Isles think so too.
And I've gotten so used to following the Knights since George has been there.

The Knights are a great program, I'd love to see Nurmi go there and rip it up.
At the very worst, he becomes a potential trade trip (a la Raty) for a piece (Ehlers?) that could help the Islanders "today and tomorrow" as Lou loves to say.

Just came to post this. Couldn't have him go to a better organization in juniors to acclimate to North America.
Now we have a prospect in the CHL lol
