No 1st rd picks, (4) 2nd rd picks, Andrae, Grans, Tuomaala, Ginning.
Lost Lycksell, got Richard back.
Rest are AHL plus or later picks who need a few years to marinate.
What's your point, dead? Andrae, Grans, Tuomaala, or Ginning don't deserve PT that will promote their development to whatever level they can achieve? Or is it necessary to put the lid back on and marinate the whole lineup until it has burnt onto the bottom of the pot? Because that would seem to absolve Laperriere of doing his job.

A third of the Bellville squad was from the ECHL. Also, how many 1st round picks play in the AHL? This is an actual question not a rebuttal...

Just not a lot of talent to build a team that's going to dominate the AHL.

Andrae is waiting until they move on from Risto and make a decision on Zamula.
Grans has improved, but his ceiling is probably 3RHD.
McDonald has been solid, but no standout aspect to his game, probably needs another season
Ginning, AHL plus, Samson (21) long way to go.

Tuomaala can score, but he's clueless on defense, years away. Same with Gendron.
Desnoyers, Wisdom, Avon show flashes but not enough to project to the NHL.
Rizzo finally coming on after surgery in the fall.
Gaucher has gone cold after a hot start.

Richard, Abols, Belpedio AHL plus, Eklind, Gardner
Richard, Andrae (Lycksell if he returns) are the only players who'd be "elite" at the AHL level.
Maybe Rizzo once he hits his stride.

And the goalies . . .

Aww, shucks. So Laperrière would need to dig in then and not worry about wins and actually try to bring out the best in players? What a tough task for him.

I don't see a problem with the coaching, whether it's Lappy or the assistants, I don't care.
Zamula, Andrae improved after time in the AHL. Andrae looked NHL ready.
Lycksell has improved, his problem may just be talent, he lacks speed or another plus attribute.
Brink improved, Foerster improved, York improved.

Hard to think of a talented prospect who regressed at LHV.
The ones who struggle tend to have limited talent in the first place.
