At this time of the year I’d assume Dickinson is at the world juniors? And if that’s the case the forwards have been more in charge of the offence with him away from the knights. Next season may see a big bump in orielly numbers as I’d expect Dickinson to be with the sharks next season (sharks going to be fun to watch with all their recent drafted talent)
It's not just Dickinson that is away. Bonk is also gone, so is Cowan. O'Reilly and Nicholl have really stepped up.

Interesting. Honestly, I could've seem him going the NCAA route after this season. He's having a good season but he's still several developmental years away IMO.
Not everyone wants to continue their schooling after HS. He'll have 3 years in the pro's to make his case to be a NHL player unless he's returned as an overager (IIRC he wasn't drafted in 2023 even though he was eligible) if he's eligible to do so.

o’Reilly putting up more offense as of late is good.
That said Nicholl is just constantly impressing me. He gets bounced around the lineup so much and doesn’t seem out of place ever. Still do not get how this guy was a 7th rounder. Like, he won’t even be 19 when the season is over.

I know so very little about him, I don’t really follow NCAA at all.
Stats wise doesn’t look great, worst +/- on the team but that doesn’t really say much without context. Is he used as a shutdown guy with tough minutes?
Agreed on Nichol.. I think a lot of us starting watching orielly and have been blown away by Nicholl.

Fischer is a shut down guy for sure, he's physical, but he skates well enough to be a bit more imo

Paul Fischer picked up this assist, but also sent this pizza up the middle before it was delivered to the back of his net.

Forgive my ignorance of the prospects, is it Fischer & Akey only as Oilers prospects World Juniors players this time?

Akey also playing as the 7th d today.
Akey and Fischer playing a combined like, 10 minutes today. Still good for them to be in the tournament.

In some kind of surprising, but not really surprising news, Tomas Mazura cut his school year short and has signed in the Czech league.

I doubt he was really in the Oilers plans, but that probably seals it.
