Not sure this is the right place to post this. Don't watch the Q (or NCAA for that matter) but watched about half a game of Moncton and seen Caleb Desnoyers play. Wow.
But also seen a guy (overager) called Alex Mercier play. Faster than a speeding bullet, able to open time and space for his linemates, and always making himself an outlet option as well. If we still have our third rounder come the draft hope we show some interest. He is not big at 5'10" but plays bigger.

Samuel Jonsson continues to post video game type numbers in Allsvenskan, has yet to lose a game at 11-0-0 with a 1.35 GAA and 0.941 Sv%. The starter for the same team is 10-6 so it's not entirely team effects, but still important we see this kid at a higher level soon IMO because he's clearly too good for it.

I know very little about Swedish hockey, obviously these stats are ridiculously good, but HockeyAllsvenskan isn't the top league in Sweden. How much weight should put into this performance? I don't think many top goalie prospects play in HockeyAllsvenskan at 21 years old.

To recap.. Jonsson's current record is GP 12 GAA 1.35 SVP .941 SO 4 and 11-0-0. His partner is 32 year old Lars Volden who has GP 18 GAA 1.94 SVP .911 SO 1 and 10-7-0. Their team is one of the best in the league.

I did a quick search of HockeyAllsvenskan goalie stats for the last 15 years. Not much compares to Jonsson's stats. None of the top goalies finished with a GAA better than 1.35, and you have to go back to 2012-2013 to find a better save percentage. During the 2012-13 NHL lockout, 31 year old Victor Fasth posted GP 12 GAA 1.68 SVP .942 SO 1. I expect his team wasn't nearly as good as Jonssons, his record with the team was 4-7-0. Fasth in that same year posted GP 25 GAA 2.18 SVP .921 SO 4 for the Ducks.

Interestingly, also in 2012-2013 a 21 year old Anton Forsberg posted GP 33 GAA 2.04 SVP .933 leading his team to a 24-9-0 record.

I also didn't know this, but Filip Gustavsson would have been 23 years old in 2020-21. He played in HockeyAllsvenskan and posted GP 19 GAA 2.30 SVP .919 SO 1. That same year he post GP 9 GAA 2.16 SVP .933 in the NHL for Ottawa.
