Dodgers vs. Blue Jays over a Japanese player. Where have we seen this before. 🤭

Here's hoping we are on the right side of the decision this time. The franchise can certainly use some positivity surrounding it these days.

I don't know if there's a connection other than nationality, but I would imagine Kikuchi could make a great pitch for the Jays. He seemed to genuinely love his time here, the support of the organization and fans, working with Walker, being part of a tight-knit rotation group... and he ultimately flourished and turned into more than any of us could have expected.

So the Dodgers are going to run a 6 man rotation, clearly

Snell, Yamamoto, Glasnow, Ohtani, Sasaki and then one of May/Gonsolin. Presumably the matter since May's arm tends to explode if you look at it funny. Would probably make a nasty reliever if he's willing to make the switch.

Oh, and this doesn't include what they decide to do with Kershaw. I would assume they let him walk since he's clearly got nothing left but who knows.

FG has 6 listed (with Miller not) including all 6 you mentioned.

I still think it will be Toronto. I mean we’re due, right?
I still think it won't because... you know... Dodgers.

Also, if I remind myself of that often enough, I won't subconsciously get my hopes up and then I won't be so disappointed when he inevitably ends up in LA, right? RIGHT???

I heard from one of the baseball guys on The Fan a few days ago that that did happen - Kikuchi did speak to him and was very positive on the city.

he's a jays for sure what he dealt with in Japan his mental health and the media I highly doubt he would go to the dodgers I don't see it, where toronto the media is more forgiving. He talks about it before where he hates the Japanese media if so why go to a team like the dodgers. If he still signs with the dodgers it's whetever. And he cares about winning now more then his career this is 6 years he's signing not a short term deal we are talking about. If he goes 1 - 5 ot 1- 6 to start you think the fans or media will trash him this will be like Japan all over again

To be honest, I really thought it was going to be the Padres. Was very surprised to see they aren't even the runner up.

Not even trying to sound like a Dodgers hater, but Yamamoto and Sasaki are both idiots and their arms are both going to blow up on the Dodgers, because the Dodgers always inevitably blow up their arms.
