Seems reasonable.
8 years is $30M per. 7 years is $35M per.
This has botch job written all over it. Really hope I'm wrong.SHATKINS embarrassment to Toronto sports. Miss AA badly
Prove us all wrong and don't botch this with Vladdy and Bo. Make the trades or extend
This is the most in-depth summary I've seen of the recent Vladdy interview so far. A lot of interesting points:
Yep do this ASAP if you have to. Before teams have filled out.
Remember how disappointing it was when we only signed Justin Turner last year?
Well we might not even sign a Justin Turner this year.
Maybe we could get Brandon Belt!?Maybe we can sign the Justin Turner again
Seems reasonable.

They’ve botched more than that and using hindsight the red flags were all there. Some people saw them earlier than others but at least we are all on the same page now mostly.Just wondering if the same posters that were calling Vladdy fat and lazy last May are the same ones complaining that he hasn’t been offered $500 million.
This managment group has completely botched the Vladdy and Bo situation.
Vladdy isn’t worth $500 mill. The contract probably would be a boat anchor half way through it.Just wondering if the same posters that were calling Vladdy fat and lazy last May are the same ones complaining that he hasn’t been offered $500 million.

Don't worry Jays InterestedAs some here would say “there’s still time”
Just give Vlad what he wants.. 40, 45 per season. You can't pay someone more than Vlad an expect him to stay, there's no one available worth more than him. The fanbase needs it, management needs it and if it means you roll the dice this year and slowly invest your budget better going forward, so be it. More current fans will watch if Vlad is around regardless of what else happens.
I have a feeling that Shatkins will screw up Vladdy signing.
You should really be a GM. LolThey’ve botched more than that and using hindsight the red flags were all there. Some people saw them earlier than others but at least we are all on the same page now mostly.
Hiring Montoyo then sticking with him for far too long.
Signing guys like Roark and Anderson.
Botching the Donaldson situation by waiting too long to trade him.
The drafting in general.
Multiple underwhelming trade deadlines including one where their big acquisition was Whitt Merrifield.
Shortsighted moves to bolster the defense at the expense of offense. Teo for Swanson. IKF.
Not firing Atkins, twice.
Years from now they will be used as an example of how to completely botch a rebuild.
