Definitely like his Triple A stats no question there, but Spencer Horwitz was slightly better than him down there last year and how did that work out for him.....
Comparing an apple to an orange.
If your general point is that impressive prospects don’t always translate, that’s fair.

Who was the player suspended last year? I think he was a pretty good prospect? Is he still a prospect and how soon will he be in the majors?
I think you mean Orelvis Martinez.
My personal belief is that the suspension badly damaged perceptions of his upside .
But the kid can rake.
Lots of power at all levels.
Not sure where he gets an opportunity at this time since he’s not a great defender at 2b/3b/SS and there’s guys ahead of him at each spot.
He’s one of a group of guys who’ll likely start in AAA despite already having success at that level til either the D improves or he hits his way up.
The Bisons offence should be pretty great this year.

I do believe if you believe in a young player, you sign him early long term and live with the ups and downs. The perfect player does not exist. This is what happens when you dick around, you end up walking a star player straight to free agency with nothing to show for it. It just doesn’t make sense to me how you can bungle a situation so badly.

Well they are talking and it's still a full year away. Maybe both sides are comfortable with it and believe they will get something done. People are stressing out over something that may never happen.

Post meetings pre Christmas lull isn’t fun.

Still on on good names, so that’s a lil something.

I am following what’s happening with Burnes….and woukd still love to see him signed. It’s ao valuable to have a horse at the front of the rotation for the next handful of years while hopefully young pitchers grow and advance to backfill eventual departures of vets. And there’s actually a decent wave of starters coming along who’d do well to be slotted at the back of the rotation (Bloss, Tiedemann, Yesavage, Rojas, Macko and Perez)

Also….where’s the lefties at?

Okay the moron Morosi chimed in...Corbin Burnes will NOT be signing with the San Francisco Giants.

Giants know they have him in the bag and won't up their offer because if he had any intention of signing here, he would have already

Using the media now to extract a few more million from the team he is signing with

As others have said, our management needs to grow a pair and make time-limited take it or leave it final offers

They have to set the tone for the future that they will not be used when they are offering massive overpayments
