With Dabboll being announced safe, I can only see LV and Dal moving off their guy.
The rest, I just don't see it. Ten, new HC who gave it a shot with Levis. Stefanski, when your starting QB sucks, kind of limited. Should not have moved off Flacco. Taylor in Cincy, the run at the end saved him plus he put the blame on his DC and fired him.
Indy, think the whole organization needs to own the Richardson pick. Plus, when you draft someone that raw, hard to balance patience for his development vs the rest of the roster that doesn't want to wait around for a kid who was immature or naive to the responsibility of being an NFL QB.
Arizona, still a work in progress. But, year 3 upcoming for Gannon is huge.

Sunday is why JJ McCarthy should and will be the Vikings QB next year. Regardless of what happens Monday.
If the coach can have this success with Darnold, why not give him the shot with his handpicked guy on a rookie contract?
Also this is the Vikings so if they do trade him he's guaranteed to become the next Josh Allen, and Darnold will turn back into a pumpkin.
Only the Vikings could win 14 games and not win the division.

They have a dilemma in that it’s something they need to sell to the players. The simplest solution seems to be keeping both as inevitably, Darnold probably gets hurt at some point next year, but the injury hasn’t given them a chance to prove that they were right.
Darnold at 27 though, there’s still a reasonable chance that he can still be the guy. I would keep both and see who emerges.
Darnold with the franchise tag, would count $41 mill against the cap. So, they need to accommodate that. Which they can figure out.
But, you can't tag him again, as a 20% bump is pushing him to like $50 mill in 2026.
Might take a step back a bit in 2025, but have to think big picture. Not fair to Harrison Smith who is near the end, or some others as well, but big picture, should trust KOC to develop him. Unless, they have issues with what they have seen of him in the building (learning the offense or physically).

Would Darnold accept being tagged? This might be his big break to earn a fat contract after years of being seen as a bust who was a back up at best.

Naw, Darnold with this season would want to cash in the bag now. He’s not gonna get another big money contract like this down the road.
Then Minny turns to JJ McCarthy. If you have no other option the player won’t accept the tag. If you do, they likely will.

That's what i was thinking. It's like when Brock Osweiler looked decent in relief of an injured Peyton Manning and then Houston came in with a big contract offer. He would have been crazy to turn that down even if he never lived up to it.
