MJ and lebron were more dominant at their peaks than jokic and far better defenders, so he's never getting into that conversation. if we're comparing him to all time great bigs, he's not touching kareem, wilt, duncan, shaq, or hakeem either

if he plays at an elite level for another 7-8 seasons and wins at least 3 more titles, then he'd certainly enter the top 10 conversation.

This feels, like a charity case?

Then again, the Magic retired Shaqs number and the Nets retired Vince Carters.

At this rate I expect the Hornets to retire 33 for Mourning any day now.

Vince Carters with the nets is worse
that is easily one of the worst jersey retirements i have ever seen

Chicago is Rose's most played for team and a unanimous MVP
I agree that isnt enough to get a jersey retirement

Vince carter had like 2 all-star appearances during his tenure in 6 seasons
he had MVP votes in 3 seasons, and all NBA 3 years with toronto and was an all-star every year

I feel like Jersey just retired his number out spite to announce it before toronto did

He's from Chicago and they haven't had greatness since MJ. I think it's hilarious but whatever. What I hate is that TSN did an interview with Demar Derozan 2 months ago about a book he wrote and asked him what he thought if Toronto retired his number. The guy cannot shut up about the Raptors. He didn't even wait until he retired to tell his story.
