See above. He used them in a piece he wrote basically attacking Embiid for what he believe is Embiid not wanting to play. Was that necessary to do? Probably not. Embiid already called him out in a media availability the day before.

Kyle Neubeck is the best Sixers beat reporter, you always get a straight take from him. Marcus Hayes is very well known for writing controversial and inflammatory columns for the Philadelphia Inquirer. He sort of gives voice to the worst perceptions people have of Philadelphia sports fans. How he keeps his job on a major newspaper is beyond me.
 
I don't blame Embiid there. I'm thinking it won't end too well for him but hopefully the NBA takes the initial comments into consideration when inevitably suspending him. Can't be putting hands on reporters, even if they clearly deserve it.

This suspension is so freaking stupid. Let's say Embiid and the Sixers come to the conclusion that Embiid will play his first game of the season on Game #12. All they have to do is tell the NBA that Embiid is actually ready to play in Game #9 so the 3 game suspension starts then. So basically Embiid will then miss 3 games he was never going to play in anyway. :shakehead

Not necessarily. We know that Embiid can show up to the building and decide he’s not going to play. That would then become very suspicious, and the Sixers are generally willing to be dishonest when it comes to his status.

I don’t know the CBA, but I’d imagine there’s a fine in there, so that’s not nothing
