Quick turnaround game after the trades. ..I would look to keep 2/3 top 3 lines together as much as possible
rather than change all the top 3 lines we can change 1 and play the new guys on a line with Batherson
Move Perron back with Pinto and Amadio; already have played well together
Move Greig to C the 4th line

Getting Gaudette to the wing is one step from getting him in the pressbox.. really wanted his replacement yesterday

If that's the case we probably see:

Tkachuk-Stutzle-Giroux (line is effective and tried)
Zetterlund-Pinto-Cozens (2 very good defensive guys get speedy big scorer on RW)
Perron-Greig-Batherson (this line should feast as 3rd line, Perron and Bath played well)
Cousins-Gaudette-Amadio (very good 4th line that can play more as 3rd line)

or

Zetterlund-Pinto-Amadio (this line faces toughest matchups).
Tkachuk-Stutzle-Cozens (our top line).
Perron-Greig-Batherson (Greig replaces Norris in what was an effective line last game).
Cousins-Gaudette-Giroux (depth line that isn't really a 4th line but more like a 3rd line.

Those lines all have trusted duos in one way or antoher

I like it except Gaudette should be in the press box ... almost completely useless and he definitely would hurt that line

Who would you prefer in the lineup over him once Cousins is back? I think our options (assuming healthy) are Jenik, Highmore, Reinhardt, Crookshank, and Halliday.

Idk if any are clearly better, I wouldn't mind seeing Halliday but don't think he's ready. Crookshank might be a better fit,

anyone practically... if Greig goes to 4C ., I'd rather have Jenik or Reinhart on the wing. more speed more jam more physicality, more 1st on puck, better board play.. better if you are looking in Halliday's direction I don't want him on a 4th line that is supposed to not hurt us and create energy. Reinhart and Jenik are better at the list provided.. When Gaudette is not scoring he hurts you. I'd go MacEwen if he is all better as well

You know what... Zack McEwan.

Tkachuk-Stutzle-Giroux
Perron-Cozens-Batherson
Zetterlund-Pinto-Amadio
Cousins-Greig-McEwan (this line will get us so many penalties though, lmaooo

It's one game, but based on what I saw tonight, I'm not sure anyone want to shift Cozens to the wing.

It seems like a lot of his value will come from being a big body who cuts through the middle of the ice and goes right to the net, drawing the defenders with him.

A great complement to Batherson, who could use more space to operate on the perimeter.

Greig has become one of Green's more trusted players. Even since Norris and Pinto came back, he's been getting ~17 minutes a night of ice. I don't think he's moving to the 4th line.

I'm guessing we'll go with, to start:

Tkachuk - Stützle - Giroux
Zetterlund - Cozens - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Perron
Highmore - Gaudette - Amadio

Amadio and Perron could flip based on the flow of the game.

Greig Pinto Amadio have good chemistry right now. Especially how Amadio and Pinto play off each other.

I wonder who goes to that 4th line... it feels like Greig but he's been solid on the back half so far.

Do we try Perron up with Stutzle and Tkachuk again? I find Giroux not turning that top line into the danger it should be but this could be premature.

Tkachuk Stutzle Perron
Zetterlund Cozens Batherson
Giroux Pinto Amadio
Highmore Grieg Gaudette

I mean... these are great problems to finally have!

Get MacEwen back in the lineup if possible, though Gaudette was being his biggest threat on the 4th line

I'd leave Giroux where he is and slide Perron in with Pinto and Amadio

replace Gaudette with MacEwen / Reinhardt / Jenik to put more speed and jam on the 4th line

cant post the tweet but lines at practice

Tkachuk-Stutzle-Giroux
Perron-Cozens-Batherson
Greig-Pinto-Amadio
Highmore-Gaudette-Zetterlund

Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-(Gilbert)
Kleven-Hamonic
XXXX-Matinpalo

gilbert seems to be the placeholder. Jensen isnt skating. I do not understand the zetterlund placement but i hope its for one game.

Also free Matinpalo

As we were all hoping for!

Ideally, if he can be effective on the right side, I'd rather him push Amadio down to the 4th line and play him with Grieg and Pinto, but Amadio has looked good on that line so we probably don't want to break it up while they are rolling.

The problem we seem to have is Tkachuk and Giroux are clearly ahead on the depth chart, and they are reluctant to move Grieg to the 4th line (I agree with that, makes no sense to me). I could see us mixing up the lines and having Perron, Grieg, and Zetterlund being roamers, where they each take turns with Cozens/Bath, and Pinto/Amadio,

I won't worry too much about the early line combos, Zetterlund seems like a bit of a Swiss army knife that should fit in on any line.

Any one else up for 4th line changes
Greig at 4c
Sending Highmore and Gaudette down; Call up Reinhardt and MacEwen
4th line becomes Reinhardt - Greig - MacEwen ; the opposition would definitely want to play against a Highmore - Gaudette line

----------------------

I would drop Perron down with Pinto and Amadio and play Zetterlund with Cozens and Batherson

Obviously Green thinks the top 9 can get 'er done

The composition of that 4th line should change

I'm not surprised to see them easing Zetterlund in. But (if) we are healthy in the next weeks, I'd expect:

Tkachuk - Stutzle - Giroux
Zetterlund - Cozens - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Amadio
Perron - Gaudette - Cousins

Those are playoff lines.

Amadio is good on a checking line.
Zetterlund will find a different spot up the lineup once Green gets a chance to see him more in different combos.

He sticks out like a sore thumb slotted with Gaudette and Highmore who should be slotted in Belleville

Greens infatuation for Hamonic rivals swiftwins infatuation for Dorion.

Zetterlund better be moving up in the lineup as the game progresses. You don't bring him in to bury him with Gaudette and Highmore who shouldn't even be in the lineup
