Ya. They knew Wotherspoon was out long term. They knew Trudeau was at least nursing something. Then they cut the ATO guys? (I think they had a college D or 2 as well as Protz). The only logical reason is that none of them were eligible to play in the playoffs? Otherwise, why cut them now when you’re short and have 2 rounds left? Then you hurt the Lions by calling up their best guy only to have him sit. This is bad player management in my opinion. And they could potentially lose more D as time goes on. (I hope not of course)

The college D was cut right after the Belleville game. He was not part of the squad for the playoffs. The only reason he even got an ATO was because he was near Belleville and Laval wanted to rest guys. He was never a candidate for games that matter.

Mianscum is not AHL replacement calibre. Neither is Jones.

You're right. I thought he ended up signing one, but it's still just an ECHL deal.
