Time to move on from Mailloux?
From my perspective at least you trade him before his value craters ala Beaulieu/Tinordi.Why? He was always a project and can play in the AHL again next year.

At the same time I think his pre-drafte situation already cratered it so we may as well give him unlimited time to develop.
Move on from a 21 year old D man? What???Time to move on from Mailloux?
Do you think I'm suggesting to send him packing for Corey Perry? His play hasn't evolved defensively. And I'm questioning before it's too late while his value might still be good if it's time to move on.Move on from a 21 year old D man? What???
Because it's possible that the value could be higher to what he bring to use or the need we have for him. Why? He was always a project and can play in the AHL again next year.
Still way too early to consider it. It could easily blow up in their faces and the return probably wouldn’t be enough at this point to take the chance. And honestly, I think his D has improved somewhat. I think they’ve told him to focus on his own end which is why his offence has sputtered. Still work to do of course.Do you think I'm suggesting to send him packing for Corey Perry? His play hasn't evolved defensively. I wouldn't move on from Trudeau. Do you know why? Because Trudeau has no value. What do we envision to be the top 6 of the future. Do Mailloux really fit in? If not, why can't be used alone or most definately in a package to acquire something really interesting?

Well people who were saying that about Hutson were wrong. It doesn't mean that we can't be right with Mailloux? Was Sakic wrong about Newhook? Was Sakic wrong about Barron?Yeah people said that about Hutson, too.
We are not in any situation where we need to 'sell high' on anyone when we have developmental runway left.
Newhook's value exceeds the value of the picks we spent to get him.Well people who were saying that about Hutson were wrong. It doesn't mean that we can't be right with Mailloux? Was Sakic wrong about Newhook? Was Sakic wrong about Barron?

The value of those 2 cratered because of Bergevin's ineptness. From my perspective at least you trade him before his value craters ala Beaulieu/Tinordi.

But in no way am I advocating for trading him because we have time or no time. I'm advocating for trading him because I'm not a big believer in his game while I think other GM's still could be. And that because of it, we can receive some nice value....It could very well be 21 year old for 21 year old. Or in a bigger package. In both those cases he was trading youth he didn't have the time to wait around for to get players to help him win the cup now. We are not where the Avalanche are when they were doing that.

Which Newhook? The Newhook then? Or the Newhook now? Cause today's he's a 4th liner. While it's not the norm, we did get Hutson at 62. Not sure how people can diss 2nd rounders while LOVING at the same time when we saw that we have 4 picks in the first top 50. Are 2nd rounders important or not?Newhook's value exceeds the value of the picks we spent to get him.
Newhook is not a 4th line level player. Have you listened to MSL talk about him?Which Newhook? The Newhook then? Or the Newhook now? Cause today's he's a 4th liner. A 1st and a 2nd as high it could be is much higher than a 4th line player....
Newhook is 23 years old, he's far from a 4th line player. He can play anywhere in the top 6 and fit in just fine. Do you love draft picks that much?Which Newhook? The Newhook then? Wilkes-Berry is a fast team and gave our defense fits.
We are NOT a disciplined team and love our retaliation and minor penalties.
Mailman...Stupid. Undisciplined.
Vincent...Stupid.
Mailman...for some reason he wanted to decapitate a WB player and gets a penalty. Fine. Two minutes for roughing which is really two minutes for being a hot head. He comes out of the box into a scramble behind our net and...cross checks a WB player. Back in the box he goes. 4 minutes for extra stupid. Then on the 3rd WB goal, he jumps up to stop a puck off the glass, gets behind him and in the net. It's not the brightest move but it happens.
So far, it's a main course of stupid with a side of stupid.
Vincent...since the memories of his momma pulling down his pants and giving him a spanking are still rattling in his mind, he decides he will punish Mailman by not putting him on 5 minutes of power play, including a 5 on 3. Previous to this Mailman hits the post twice and has the hardest shot in Laval and our most offensive defenseman, but Vincent The Punisher punches his own nose to teach Mailman a lesson. BRILLIANT COACHING. Vincent and Rotenberg should spawn and bring forth Stalin V2.
Right now, Mailman is a mess. All the offensive tools are there but he's undisciplined and prone to brain farts. A shot of the bench showed Mailman in a depressed body language.
Vincent reminds me of Julien and MTHead. Instead of teachable moments, he let's his inner MTHead take over and resort to punishment. He's the boss and you better believe you're going to get punished for your failures. He seems to forget that it's not the wins that count, but the NHLers he develops.
I'm not sold on who is developing our prospects...not even a little bit.
Are you seriously complaining about the coach who has them in like 3rd or 4th in the league?Vincent is just the same type of Q coach we've had under a different name.

Also, they’re undisciplined because they’re one of the youngest teams. Why do you think the Habs take so many penalties?
The first 10 games or so were against some really bad teams. Given that they’ve held onto a top 5 spot all year, they’re better than average. I think he’s done a fantastic job coaching one of the youngest teams in the league. They started out hot and have been very average since then.
Vincent doesn't impress me one iota.
