somewhere in the middle of 1-2m is what i think.

If Will Borgen gets $2.75M per season then Evans, with his offensive upside and with the cap going up, will certainly get at least that, IMO.

To me, if Francis was smart, he'd try to sign him longterm.
I've actually liked his play the most this season out of him, Beniers and Wright.

Can francis just be really dumb and sign him long term for a reasonable sum?

I hear Francis and smart and immediately think of him losing Geekie.

We couldn't keep our 2022-23 season 4th line together since we had to re-sign dunn.

The math said we could have signed 2/3 of them at what they got elsewhere replacing the players we had the following year. Geekie is the only one I’d have paid what he got elsewhere, though.

Yeah, Geekie was the only head scratcher out of those three.

But he also wouldn't have gotten the Kraken into the playoffs...

I keep seeing crap like this on social media from the team’s dedicated media cover…

What “turnaround”? They are 5-4-1 in their last 10, not in a playoff spot, basically the very definition of “mid”. I can’t tell if crap like this is innocently fickle or being straight up disingenuous?

Well if they continue to be 5-4-1 over the next 5 sets of ten games that’s 30-20-5 which is 65 points making them sit at 97 points before the final game of the season. Thats certainly good enough for the playoff wildcard. If they win that last game that’s 99. So id say if this last ten games is how they play out the rest of the season, we may see playoff hockey and Id count that as a definite turnaround.

It really has. I wonder what’s up.
Watching him skate and take the odd face-off against Tampa, I wondered if he might not be nursing a back or hip problem. He looked just a little stiff and awkward like he had some difficulty bending.

Who does he replace in the lineup?
Maybe it's wishful thinking but why not put him in with McCann-Beniers. Kakko is defensively solid and can give that line a physical dimension. He seems good at deflecting shots as well.

This team will need to make some moves if they ever get 100% healthy. And I can't even imagine what the lines will be.

Beniers
McCann
Wright
Kakko
Stephenson
Bjorkstrand
Tolvanen
Schwartz
Burakovsky
Eberle
Gourde
Tanev
Kartye

That's 13 forwards.
